Week end in Paestum, Padula and grotte dell’angelo in Pertosa. Starting from Positano or Sorrento in about two hours along the Amalfi coast you arrive in Paestum with a short stop in Salerno to visit the Cathedral. In Paestum visit the Temples and the museum.Overnight in Paestum.The following day we leave Paestum and in about 45 minutes we arrive in Pertosa where there are the caves of the angel which originated about 35 million years ago. The caves are accessible by raft crossing a small lake that originates from an underlying source. The path of about 2 kilometers is completely illuminated. At the end of the visit, continue towards Padula located on a hill in the Diano valley. Padula is well known for the Charterhouse of San Lorenzo, one of the most grandiose monuments in southern Italy, built in 1306.The facade is Baroque, as are the interiors with the precious altar.The cloister is huge, with two porticoes of 48 arches , adorned with a central fountain. Return to your hotel in Sorrento or Positano in the early afternoon.
